I MAKE HAIRCLIPS

I found this on thingiverse, and immediately fell in love. It’s a simple cute, adorable octopus. But in order to print, it has to print on a flat surface. I printed it with soft PLA to make it easier to form to the hair, and take the everyday wear and tear. It did take me a couples tries to get the layers right, but eventually.

To obtain the nice rounded shape of the tentacles (so they seem to drape over the hair), I held it over a light bulb for about 5 minutes continually bending the tentacles, trying to get them in that certain shape.

And now, I wear it regularly, and I do still plan on spray painting it, I just haven’t decided on a color yet.
